Our Story
In the early eighties Felix Kastner, an Austrian expat was looking for a place to start a small garment production in Bangkok, Thailand. He settled on a 5-storey building in a quaint part of then swampy Bangkok - Phra Khanong. Alongside the other garment factories in the area, he rode the ups and downs of Black Monday 1987, to the Tom Yum Goong Crisis of 1997. Fast forward to 2024, Phra Khanong is a hip area booming with start ups, cafes, food trucks and boutique hotels. With the garment traders now replaced by young creatives and digital nomads, Felix and his childhood friend Paul Asenbaum, a seasoned traveller with plenty of experience in the world of art and design, exchanged ideas and sketches for turning the factory into 'Bangkok Lofts'. A trendy loft-style building using existing vintage elements combined with modern amenities; the likes you would find in New York, Berlin, Paris or London. Situated just a few minutes walk from Phra Khanong BTS and intersecting Sukhumvit & Rama 4, Bangkok Lofts now offers creative office & minimalist apartment spaces in the expanding heart of downtown Bangkok.

The loft-style units in this 5-storey former garment factory are designed with aesthetics and flexibility in mind. Minimally furnished with vintage and industrial elements ideal for use as: creative offices, studios or apartments. Spaces are now available for rent and range from 17 to 72 square meters. Shared bathrooms & kitchen are available for 1st & 2nd floor tenants, whilst 3rd to the 5th floor units have ensuite amenities.
The working community can access a shaded outdoor seating area - reminiscent of a street-side Parisian cafe - along with a small outdoor garden serving as a lung of creative inspiration. A panoramic rooftop is a breezy oasis at sunset, designed with the necessary amenities for interested parties to create a rooftop bar or alfresco restaurant.
